about

All songs by Eric Woodruff

This was essentially a solo record, all original songs, and out of necessity I played all instruments (guitar, drums, bass, vocals), with some occasional appearances from friends. Recorded in the basement of a large house in Ballard, WA from 2004-2006 using outdated, archaic, pirated software. Mixed & mastered by Paul Turpin, who worked his magic in uniting the basement recordings with big-studio production. The record was released on Clickpop Records in late 2006, then jointly released with SpinArt records in March 2007, and we played their 2007 SXSW showcase in Austin, TX.

Eric Woodruff has gone on to play in the following bands:

A few kind words from others about Prosser #1:

All Music Guide (March 2007) -
"Prosser is the work of basically one man named Eric Woodruff. But he certainly can do a lot on his own."
Link: www.allmusic.com/album/prosser-mw0000444976

NPR (June 2007) -
"Like Neil Young after Trans, Prosser's self-titled debut is a collection of songs from a man who's been outside the stratosphere, but has made a triumphant return to good ol' American pop-rock."
Link: www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=11475215

HARP Magazine (June 2007) -
"...psychotically talented multi-instrumentalist Eric Woodruff parlays his space-rock past into a psych-folk/roots-pop future....Woodruff invests the record with the raw passion and restrained power of a Sunday-morning-after-Saturday-night barn jam between Ryan Adams, Billy Corgan, and My Morning Jacket."
